Hello Driveshafters

First of all, thanks to all of you who have mailed, texted and written in with your messages of hope for Charlie. We are directly in touch with the search and rescue teams in the South Pacific and will give you any news as soon as we get it about the missing Oceanic flight 815. We've passed all of your wishes and thoughts on to Liam and he sends his thanks too. We will all just have to sit tight and keep praying and hoping for Charlie's safe return.

We were going to keep it a secret for a while, but thought it might be good to give you some cheerful news - the guys were about to reform and sign a new deal, which included remixing some of the tracks which didn't make it onto the last album. Liam is going back into the studio in Charlie's honour to get those unmixed tracks primed and ready to go on sale to help the appeal.

So, thanks again, and sit tight - have faith in Charlie's safe return.

Y'all everybody!

Joan

From the Pressrelease...

British rock star searches for lost brother

Driveshaft front man Liam Pace yesterday announced his dedication to the search for any trace of the aeroplane on which his brother, Driveshaft bassist Charlie Pace was travelling when it disappeared last week.

Oceanic flight 815 was headed to LA from Sydney, allegedly changed course halfway through, and has now been missing for four days. Rescue teams are based in Fiji, and are slowly covering select areas of the South Pacific in the hope of finding the plane and any survivors.

Pace has flown out to Fiji and is working hands-on with rescue teams in the hope of finding Charlie. It is understood the bassist was visiting his brother in Sydney, but the reason for his flight to L.A is still the subject of much speculation. Some allege the star was going to Hollywood to break into films; others claim Charlie had a drug habit and was on-route to rehab; there is talk of a new record deal for the ailing Driveshaft; yet others believe Charlie was intending to form a new band in L.A.

Tragic news!!!!!!!!!!!!

It appears Charlie was on the missing Oceanic flight 815 which went missing yesterday... we are trying to get as much informationas we can, but things are looking grim. Although apparently there is no bad news - the plane has not been found - chances he is still alive are slim... our hearts are with the Pace family.

Heading back home?

Agent James walked past a hurrying Charlie Pace at Sydney airport.
Appears his little antipodean episode is over for now... not sure where he is heading, but we are guessing back home to Manchester. Let's hope this wasn't a dream and we get to see him and Liam re-united soon!

Pictures from better days...

Those were the days... Driveshaft at their now infamous Manchester homecoming concert 2 years ago!
There appears to be a new bootleg around of this concert, also featuring the opening act, "23 Roses to Go". Write to me and I will point you in the right direction.

Another snapshot of Charlie downunder, this one taken by Mark. Charlie didn't seem to be in quite such a good mood this time round... not sure, maybe just the heat and fans following him around?

We "bumped" into Charlie in the street and tried to get him to tell us a bit about upcoming stuff and his plans for a new Driveshaft album, but he was having none of it.
He was super-friendly though and even signed some autographs and 2 T-shirts which we brought along.
Top bloke.

Charlie and Liam?

Mark from Sydney says he saw Charlie driving past him yesterday in a rental car. From what he could tell he must have been on his way to Liam's house, which is just around the corner from Mark's place.
Are the two of them finally getting back together? Please let it be more than just a friendly family visit!

Charlie is apparently in Sydney to look at recording studios down under.
My man Steven in Sydney is trying to get a short interview or a message out of him while he's there.
More news to follow, but things are looking good for a 3rd Driveshaft album!
Wohoo!
